Noise at Work
Chartered Building Surveyors • Environmental Consultants • Project Managers
The Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005 became a legal requirement on 6 April 2006. The implementation of these regulations for the music and entertainment sectors was deferred until April 2008.
This legislation has introduced significant changes to the actions required by employers and employees. There are now extra responsibilities for employers to provide information and training along with health surveillance where noise exposures exceed the new reduced levels and limits.
MRA specialise in Noise at Work assessments for all types and sizes of workplaces and can produce highly detailed and comprehensive reports setting out:
- Employees noise exposures and comparison of these exposures with the exposure action levels and limit values.
- A noise management plan indicating noise control areas and the appropriate hearing protection scheme for those areas.
- A site map indicating measured noise levels.
